I explore environments through photography with a graphic eye. Minor White, Aaron Siskind, and Lee Friedlander are a few my first influences. Most of my photography is the result of chance encounters. Observing juxtaposition, texture, detail, light, contrast and perspective are all factors in the compositions. This method allows me to capture the subject matter as a simple and unique moment of everyday life. In this exploration, I am focused on the effects of natural light and perspective to define the environment with the supporting graphic structure of form.
